We find the actual problem. Then we fix it.
A stove that stops working rarely picks a convenient time to do it. Whether it's a gas burner that won't catch, an electric range that's lost a heating zone, or a glass cooktop with a surface fault, the disruption is immediate. BW Washer & Dryer Repair handles stove faults across Rancho Mirage, CA — gas and electric, all major brands, technicians who arrive with parts for the most common failures and who don't close a job until the stove's been tested across every function. If something's wrong with your stove, we'll find it, explain it, and fix it.
Spark module failure, igniter switch fault, or a clogged burner port. We test each cause in order and carry replacement components for the brands most common in Rancho Mirage kitchens.
Burner element burnout, infinite switch failure, and control board diagnostics. We stock elements for the most frequently used residential configurations on every run.
Full system diagnostics covering burner function, gas valve condition, thermostat calibration, and safety shutoff operation. Brands covered include Samsung, LG, GE, Whirlpool, Frigidaire, Maytag, Viking, and Wolf.
Crack assessment, subsurface element testing, and full cooktop panel replacement. We evaluate before recommending replacement — not every cracked cooktop requires a new unit.
Persistent clicking, delayed ignition, and no-spark conditions each have distinct causes. We identify which before replacing anything.
Gas line confirmation, anti-tip bracket fitting, levelling, and a full operational test across every burner and oven function before we hand it back.
People assume a stove repair means replacing the part that failed. That's half the job. The other half is understanding why the part failed — because most components don't fail in isolation. A burner element that burned out early may have been drawing incorrect voltage from a deteriorating switch. An igniter that stopped firing may have been running under mechanical stress from a warped burner cap. Replace the visible failure without addressing what drove it and the new part faces the same conditions as the old one. BW's diagnostic process is built around finding both — the component that failed and the condition that caused it. That's why our repairs hold.
One burner on your gas stove has been unreliable for a few weeks. It catches on the second or third click most of the time. You've been using the other burners. The oven still works, but you've noticed the temperature seems a little off lately — things are taking longer than they should. You've thought about calling but the stove mostly functions and you're not sure what a visit will cost.
This is the most common scenario BW walks into in Rancho Mirage, CA. It's also the situation where a single visit resolves two separate issues at once — the igniter fault and the temperature drift — for significantly less than two separate calls made after each problem worsens. The stove that "mostly works" is the one that's easiest and cheapest to repair. That window narrows as the faults progress.

Choosing a service that replaces parts without diagnosing correctly means paying twice — once for the first visit, once for the follow-up when the same fault reappears. In Rancho Mirage, CA, the most consistent complaint we hear from homeowners who've used another service before calling BW is that the stove was "fixed" and failed again within weeks. The underlying cause was never found. The part was replaced. The condition that killed the part remained. BW's process is built to catch that — because a stove that holds the repair for three weeks isn't a repaired stove. It's a deferred problem at full price.
